The small Catalan fishing town of l'Estartit is famed for the 'Roca Maura' hillside which overlooks the resort.
It's crystal-blue bay is home to the Medas Islands - once the haunt of pirates but now a world-class dive-site for scuba enthusiasts to explore it's fascinating underwater grottos.
Above water the islands are home to an important bird colony which can be visited by boat in the high season.
In Estartit town you will find a lively Yachting Marina plus a variety of small shops, bars, sunny pavement cafes and restaurants.
